Front-line practitioners who provide services to children, young people and families often have to make decisions on sharing information with other practitioners about those they are involved with. This calls for professional judgement on a case-by-case basis.
Cheshire East has revised Cheshire East Multi Agency Information Sharing Agreement (PDF, 1.66 MB) and this received approval from the LSCB in July 2016.
In addition to this, the Information Sharing Protocol incorporates the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conferencing (MARAC) operating protocol.
In addition, Working Together 2018 and additional guidance on information sharing has now been published, this can be found on the Government Website
If you are uncertain on when you can or cannot share information, more details can be found on the Information Commissioners Website.
